Behind the Scenes Videos!

Watch producer Billy Sullivan brave a massive log while location scouting

Greg, Billy and the rest of the crew have been traveling all over Los Angeles county searching for the perfect locations for Private Life.  Along the way they filmed some video of Billy testing out a fallen tree.

Throughout production we’ll posting fun behind the scenes videos such as this so that you can see the film in progress and journey with our crew as they strive to bring this film to life.  And now you have your choice of viewing options!  We’ve got a new Vimeo channel set up here:, a new Youtube channel here:  And of course we’ll continue posting new videos directly on our blog, along with updates and photos of the production.

Thank you again for following our film!

We are proud to announce that the three main roles in the film have been cast!  Greg and the cast recently  did a table read together.  It was an exciting moment to hear the words on page spoken by aloud by the wonderful actors that will bring these characters to life on the screen.  Expect an announcement on just who these talented actors are very soon!

‘Private Life’ has been very fortunate to have Mike Page ( on board as our Casting Director.  Mike is currently working on ‘Arrow’ new upcoming series from David Nutter that will be premiering on the CW network this fall.  Mike brought in an incredible amount of talented actors to read, making the casting process very challenging!  Greg was very thorough in the process, sitting down one-on-one with the final round of actors to discuss the script and the characters.  Greg had this to say about the process: “It’s been a really fantastic experience.  I’m so grateful to be able to take time to make this choice as it’s an incredibly important one.”

And now those choices have been made.  Be sure to check back soon for an official announcement on who the main cast is!  If you haven’t already sign up for our newsletter to get all the latest info on ‘Private Life’.

Location Scout in Ojai

Recently members of the ‘Private Life’ crew traveled to Ojai, California to scout locations for the most challenging location needed in the film: a suspended footbridge high over a chasm.  (Greg was also excited to visit Ojai for the very first time as this is where Jaime Sommers lived on the 70’s television show “The Bionic Woman.”)

Greg and crew were fortunate to meet Patrick S. O’Donnell early in their search for a suitable location.  Patrick is a suspension bridge enthusiast with an impressive collection of photos and profiles of bridges all over North America.  ( With Patrick’s help our crew was able to identify a handful of potential bridges, including the one featured in the pictures above.  This is a privately owned bridge in Ojai was designed for use when the vehicle bridge upstream washes out during high water times.  Without this bridge people would be stranded on the far side of the river.

Greg, along with our cinematographer Matt, visual effects supervisor Leandro and production designer Emiliano, studied and photographed the bridge; trying to determine whether the bridge can be transformed into the dangerous set piece needed for our story through the right angles, set dressing  and visual effects.  This bridge is one of many potential locations our dedicated crew is studying and and searching for as we move closer to production.
